Special Needs Boy Set on Fire

A young boy in Texas is in an induced coma after being set on fire by friends. Kayden Culp, a 10-year old child with special needs was lured to a shack in the town of Kerrville by a friend and doused with gasoline by another boy. A third boy reportedly lit a match and threw that onto him.

Authorities believe that the incident was premeditated and possibly instigated by one of the boys who was known to be a problem. Police arrested the three boys, all ranging in age from 9-11. One of the boys has been charged with first-degree arson. All of their names have been withheld due to their young age.

The special needs youngster is having biopsies performed on him in order to see just how many skin grafts he will require. He sustained first- and second- degree burns over almost a quarter of his entire body.

Kayden’s aunt, Tanya Kasper, told FoxNews.com that other children who heard about the horrific attack said that the juveniles did it on purpose. “One has always had issues being destructive and disruptive,” said the saddened aunt, who added that that boy’s mom even admitted to not being able to handle her troublesome son.

As for Kayden, he had always had it tough. Plagued by developmental issues, kids tended to pick on him. His parents were hesitant to let him go out and play without them. He wasn’t able to tell which kids were being genuinely nice to him and which were not.
