This is something that’s hard for me to talk about. But it
needs to be said. Like millions of parents all around the world, I struggled
with my child’s drug addiction. For two years, my child abused prescription
opioids and heroin.
Opioid abuse is epidemic. Over 2.1 million people in the US
alone suffer from opioid abuse. About 467,000 of these people are estimated to
be heroin addicts. In just two decades, opioid addiction has quadrupled.
Like many people who become addicted to opioids, my child’s
addiction began when she was prescribed Vicodin after a wisdom tooth
extraction. The pain was awful and she took Vicodin a couple times a day to
manage the pain. She soon grew addicted to Vicodin even after she healed from
surgery and from there, she began taking whatever other pain killers she could
get her hands on, free cell phone spy.
It was no secret that she was under a lot of stress at
school. She had been the victim of bullying. She had grappled with some
traumatizing experiences as a child that I don’t want to get into right now. My
daughter is brave but it was all too much for her to handle. I didn’t realize
how much she had been struggling until
it was almost too late.
I didn’t realize what was going on until my child began
acting strangely. She was withdrawn and tired all the time. She complained
about being itchy and it was next to impossible to hold a conversation with her
anymore before she lost track of everything going on. We didn’t realize that she
was abusing heroin, at least not until we installed cell phone monitoring
software, iphone tracker app.
Now when we first installed cell phone monitoring software,
we knew something was up. Some quick
Google searches and posts I made on help forums suggested that she may have
been using drugs. We didn’t know about the opioid abuse, at least not until we
installed the cell phone monitoring software but we suspected she may have been
abusing something at the very least.
Installing cell phone monitoring software was enlightening,
although we were horrified to see just how long her abuse had gone on. We saw
texts and social media posts, even long deleted ones, from her dealer's, her
junkie friends. From what we read, we discovered she had been on the lookout for
a fix, was using her allowance and part-time job money to buy drugs, and she
was suffering, spy on iphone.
With what we discovered with cell phone monitoring software,
we knew we had to take action. We immediately enrolled our daughter in an
in-patient drug abuse program at our state hospital. We moved and changed
school districts so we could minimize her exposure to her old friends and
potential triggers.
Our daughter still struggles but with therapy, support
groups, and addiction treatment, she’s doing a lot better. We monitor her texts
and social media messages just to make sure she’s staying on track. Since we
first discovered her struggles with heroin, she’s had a couple relapses with
opioids but otherwise, she has not gotten a hold of heroin since and we couldn’t
be prouder. We’re getting to the bottom of many of the problems that lead to
her abusing drugs and she’s now happier than she’s been in years. She’s
enrolling in an MFA program at a local university and she’s successfully
holding down a part-time job and keeping up with school. And with cell phone
monitoring software, we’re continuing to keep her safe even when life gets
rough. We couldn’t be happier we discovered cell phone monitoring software.
